George Luton Voice Lessons, Private (60 Minutes)VO60

George Luton is a musical theatre composer and conductor whose work has been heard Off-Broadway (The York Theatre, Prospect Theatre Company), as well as in regional theatres (The Tank NYC, Stage 284, The Emerging Artist's Theatre, Moonlight Productions, Punctuate 4, NextStage, Purple Summer Productions) and workshops (54 Below, Balance Arts Center, InVivo Productions, Island Theatre Workshop) across the nation.

With over a decade of music education experience, George is an accomplished and adaptive instructor for all ages and abilities. In addition to administering his own private studio, he currently teaches piano and voice for A Class Act NY and serves as a general music teacher, a conductor for choral and band programs, and an accompanist for the Greenwich Public School System and DREAM Charter Schools. He is also a contracted music director for theatre education programs across the country including Columbia University School for the Arts, Boston Children's Theatre, Long Lake Camp for the Arts, ACT MV, and Theatre On the Go.

George holds a B.A. in music from Vassar Collge, where he twice received the Jean-Slater Edson prize for composition and served as the music specialist for the Drama Department and Experimental Theatre, overseeing musical elements for all productions as a conductor, arranger, and composer, for which he was honored with the Molly Thatcher-Kazan Memorial Prize for Distinction in Theatrical Arts. He is also an alumnus of the Illinois Wesleyan University Summer Composition Institute and a proud member of BMI's Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop.
