Description

A staple of the American experience is the Cereal Box. Often marketed to children with bright designs and blown up photography and catchy marketing slogans, the sugary breakfast grains have introduced household names such as Captain Crunch, Count Chocula, Tony the Tiger and so many more.  Popular characters like Batman, Mario Bros.,Casper and even Wednesday Adams adorn the colorful boxes that kids love to read.

In this multi-disciplined class, we will create our own cereal Icons.  Designing character, logo and box layout, we will create a comic strip origin for the back of the box and some descriptive copy and catch phrase.   Then we will move into  a "mock-up" box, photograph our product, and design a print ad.

All materials for will be provided!

Note: Registering for this class requires a $45 registration fee. This is a yearly fee and will cover all classes registered for Fall 2025, as well as Spring and Summer 2026. If you've already paid the fee for the 25-26 schoolyear, you will not be charged this fee again.
